Dr. Piyal Deb is a physician-executive with 14 years of leadership experience across health insurance, clinical governance, and digital transformation in the GCC. She has led strategic initiatives to embed value-based healthcare principles into payer operations, including translating Dubai’s Ejadah framework into measurable KPIs and dashboard-driven decision tools for payer-provider alignment. Her work has centered on standardizing clinical decision-making by authoring evidence-based guidelines and optimizing medical review processes through data analysis of claims trends. As a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and PMP, she has driven operational efficiency through structured quality improvement across case management, denial workflows, and policy adherence. Piyal is currently completing executive education at Harvard Medical School, focusing on ethical AI implementation, digital transformation and leading healthcare transformation. For her capstone project she designed an AI-based risk prediction model for maternity complications, enabling early intervention and smarter care coordination within payer systems.
